The fresh summons to the Delhi Chief Minister followed the eighth summons which he had skipped on March 4.
In a decision aimed towards empowering street vendors and improving their overall working conditions, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced a survey facilitating the allocation of designated spaces for them to set up their shops.
This was Kejriwal's first physical appearance in connection with the ED's complaint against him for not complying with its summons.
"By opposing CAA, Kejriwal has proved that he is a big enemy of Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists and Jains. The people of Delhi and the country had never thought that you (Kejriwal) would stoop so low. Being a Chief Minister, you are spreading fake news about CAA,'' the BJP MP said.
Kickstarting the Aam Aadmi Party's poll campaign for Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat in Haryana, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday hit out at the BJP, saying that these polls will be a "fight between justice and injustice".
The BJP leader further hit out at Kejriwal, alleging that for the last decade he and his party have been giving false hopes of development to the people of Delhi and have misled the city's residents.
Informing about the Delhi Cabinet's decision on the microblogging site, X, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal congratulated the people of Delhi saying that their 24 hours electricity (zero power cut) and free electricity has been extended till 31st March 2025. This also includes free electricity for the lawyers' chambers, he said.
Speaking at a press conference, the minister asked when the court has already given March 16 as the date of hearing in this connection, why was the agency approaching the court and sending summons (to Kejriwal) again and again without waiting for the court's decision
