The Congress on Friday released its first list of 31 candidates for Haryana assembly elections and fielded former wrestler Vinesh Phogat from Julana.
The Supreme Court on Friday flagged the delay in processing remission pleas of convicts lodged in prisons in the national capital when Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal himself is in jail in the excise policy scam and cannot sign official files from Tihar Jail.
The Supreme Court, on Thursday, reserved its order on incarcerated Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s plea for bail and against arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in an alleged corruption case rooted in now scrapped 2021-2022 Delhi liquor policy case.
The Supreme Court will decide on Thursday if Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal should be released on bail in connection with the corruption case linked to the alleged liquor policy scam.
The post of Sunita Kejriwal was related to Delhi CM's aide Bibhav Kumar and Vijay Nair.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann are among 40 star campaigners for Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections whose names appear in the list which the Aam Aadmi Party has submitted to the Election Commission of India.
Some leaders emerge during elections, such as Lok Sabha or Assembly polls. One such person is 59-year-old Sunita, the wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. She has become a crucial link between her jailed husband and the party.
"This conspiracy has been going on for the last two years but today the proof of this conspiracy has come in front of the whole country," she said.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has approached the top court challenging the Delhi High Court order refusing him bail and upholding his arrest by the CBI.
The federal probe agency produced the sanction papers before the special judge of the Rouse Avenue Court as Kejriwal's judicial custody in the case is set to end on August 27.
