The state Trinamul Congress youth president and Diamond Harbour MP Avishek Banerjee, on Saturday called party activists to work towards an ‘opposition-free Bengal’. He was speaking at a rally in Purono Kella ground, Diamond Harbour.
He directed the TMC workers that all wings of the party should start work to achieve this aim ahead of the upcoming panchayat election.
Banerjee said, “The person who is with the CPM during the day, the same person works for the BJP during the night and it will be the same thing if the votes are casted for CPM or BJP. Thus, the CPM and the BJP will have to be washed out in the coming panchayat election”
“ TMC works for the development of Bengal. We aspire to form a green Bengal under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee, he added.
The youth TMC president also criticised Mukul Roy without mentioning his name, “TMC party is sweeping away trash and the BJP is allowing them inside their homes. Some of them are being given importance as leaders by the BJP. They are aspiring to capture power, however, with the inclusion of leaders like them they will earn no fortune.
The youth president directed the party’s youth wing to work hard for the betterment of the people of the state.
