Nadda directs states to boost response measures against dengue, malaria

As the South West Monsoon advances deeper into the Indian subcontinent, Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, on Thursday, directed states and Union Territories to strengthen surveillance, vector-control measures and healthcare preparedness to tackle a possible rise in dengue and malaria cases, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Slew of measures for tribals’ welfare; budget increased by 45.80 pc

Keeping in mind the overall socioeconomic development of the Scheduled Tribe (ST) population representing 8.6 per cent of the country's total population and spanning over 700 unique groups, the Union Government has taken a slew of measures for which the budget outlay of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs was increased by 45.80 per cent to about Rs 14925.81 crore compared to the revised estimate of 2023-24.

Woman killed,stuffed in fridge in MP

A man allegedly srangled his live-in partner to death and stuffed her body inside a refrigerator about 10 months ago in his rented house and fled, but the present tenant in the same house discovered the body while cleaning the house and subsequently the police arrested the alleged killer.The shocking incident came to light in the Dewas city of Madhya Pradesh on Friday.
