Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Aroop Biswas has written to the Central Plaza office of the HDFC Bank requesting a freeze on its party account.

This comes as the TMC is facing an internal rebellion within its ranks with the Calcutta High Court giving the go-ahead to the Assembly Speaker to recognise Ritabrata Banerjee as the Leader of Opposition.
