UGC to throw doors open for overseas varsities
According to the draft norms announced, foreign universities can set up their campuses in India, decide their admission process, and fee structure.
Indian Institute of Management Calcutta celebrated the Ruby Reunion for the batch of 1978 (13th batch), recently. The event was attended by a total of 50 alumni including well established global identities who are at the pinnacle of management and academia.
The event started off with a heritage walk with the alumni and batch mates around the sprawling green campus. This was welcomed by Saibal Chattopadhyay, director, IIM Calcutta. It was followed by a lecture by Krishna G Palepu, the Ross Graham Walker Professor, business administration, Harvard Business School on “Future of globalisation and its implications on business leaders.”
