Former Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim has denied any role in approving the building plan linked to the Taratala warehouse collapse that killed 14 people, as political tensions rise and police widen their investigation.
Paul said questioning Banerjee was “very much required”, but maintained that the probe must also extend to Hakim, alleging that the sanctioned building plan bore the former mayor’s signature.
