Eleven Chardham pilgrims die in five days

Body of an elderly woman’s mysterious death unfolded at Dumdum’s Gorabazar today. The body, with the head smashed, was recovered from the house. Police have initiated an investigation to determine if it’s a murder for robbery or if there’s another angle to it.
The elderly person’s name is said to be Tara Sharma, aged 68, and her husband Ashok Sharma held a high position in a multinational organization. She had been living alone in Gorabazar since her husband’s death, six months ago. On Tuesday morning, no one spotted the elderly woman and her daughter couldn’t reach her by phone. After breaking into the house, the police discovered the elderly woman’s bloodied body. The family suspects foul play, but it remains unclear whether the murder is related to robbery or not. The police in Dum Dum are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
