The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, said on Saturday that the state has faced the harshest rain and flood disasters in the past 75 years. He also said that the loss incurred by the state due to the rain-induced damages could reach 8,000 crore rupees.
Two labourers died while four were severely injured due to lightning strike in the Kachhar village under the Bakswaha police station area in the Chhatarpur district, according to the police on Saturday.
Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong on Saturday said that the Meghalaya government and its Assam counterpart have taken a decision relating to three areas of differences amid the border issue between the two states.

According to locals, it rained for around four hours at night and they woke up to flooded streets and rainwater entering inside their houses.
“The way Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the CMs of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh should take care of the law and order situation in their state, it has hurt the sentiments of Rajasthan,” Gehlot said.
He said that the women in Rajasthan are not safe and the state is number one in atrocities on women.
