Himachal minister approaches speaker invoking anti-defection law against 3 MLAs
The three MLAs' petition is pending in the high court against the Speaker for not approving their resignation from the State Legislative Assembly.
In a major reshuffle, 396 police officials including 27 Inspectors, 108 Sub Inspectors (SI) and 261 Assistant Sub Inspectors were on Friday transferred ahead of assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh.
In a notification issued on Friday, the Director General of Police (DGP) Somesh Goyal transferred 396 cops to implement the directions of Election Commission.
The Election Commission has issued directions to the Police administration to transfer those cops who had completed 3 years service as on 31 January, 2017 and are still posted at one station.

Police officials said these orders would not be cancelled or modified and they would have to join duty as per the orders.
