Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday addressed a large gathering of tribal communities from across the country in New Delhi and assured them that no restrictions under the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) would be imposed on the tribal community or tribal society.
Drawing on local imagery, he remarked that just as forests host different trees and flowers, governance too must respect diversity rather than enforce uniformity.
