Those expelled include former Congress Seva Dal Vice-President Aditya Paswan, former State Congress Vice-President Shakeelur Rahman, former Kisan Congress President Raj Kumar Sharma, former State Youth Congress President Raj Kumar Rajan, former EBC Cell President Kundan Gupta, Banka District President Kanchana Kumari, and Ravi Golden from Nalanda district.
However, it remains unclear how many seats the RJD, Congress, and Left parties will contest. So far, the Congress has released a list of 48 candidates, while the RJD announced nominees for 46 seats.
The Congress on Wednesday expelled Laxman Singh, a former party MLA in Madhya Pradesh, from the primary membership of the party for six years for anti-party activities, a party statement issued by DAC member secretary Tariq Anwar said.
