Earlier, Hindu Mahasabha workers stopped Maurya's convoy in Fatehabad and splattered ink on his car after showing black flags.
The senior Uttar Pradesh leader resigned from Samajwadi Party membership and the post of MLC on February 20.
Swami also resigned from the membership of the State Legislative council as a SP member with immediate effect.
Maurya has launched the name and flag of the new party, according to his post on social media.
Swami sent a resignation letter to SP President Akhilesh Yadav and shared it on social media.
SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya has said that Hinduism is just a deception.
BJP president Bhupendra Chaudhary said, "Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav remained silent on the insult of Ramayana in the past and is now keeping mum on the insult of Mata Mahalakshmi Ji."
Earlier this year, the SP leader had sparked public outrage for his comments against Hinduism.
