Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Chief Sukhbir Singh Badal on Tuesday rendered support to farmers who have embarked on the 'Delhi Chalo' protest and appealed to the central government to fulfil the demands of the cultivators.

Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa spoke about a gamut of issues including the future of the party he once belonged to - the Shiromani Akali Dal.
Badal said the SAD would resolve this issue once and for all when it assumed power in Punjab. “We are committed to terminating all water sharing agreements and stopping the flow of water to Rajasthan,” he said.
Addressing a party rally in Ferozepur, the Akali leader said the hands of the police had been tied by the AAP legislators because they were receiving monthlies from the mafia kingpins.
“All the investments during Channi’s or Captain Amarinder Singh’s tenures put together do not equal the investment on any single project brought by the Parkash Singh Badal led government," said Sukhbir Singh Badal.
The SAD chief said the Congress party was now divided into groups including the Sukhjinder Randhawa group, Tript Rajinder Bajwa group, Sunil Jakhar group, and the Charanjit Channi group.
Mr Badal also interacted freely with devotees who had come to pay their obeisance at the revered temple besides meeting with shopkeepers in the temple premises.
Badal expressed his deep condolences with the family of Satinder Kaur, who was the principal of the Government Boys Senior Secondary School, Idgah and her colleague Deepak Chand.
Badal appealed to the Uttar Pradesh government to rise above political compulsions and register a murder case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Misra's son Ashish Misra.
