IMS and SUM Hospital-3 has been making all efforts to extend quality healthcare services to the people of the region though it has started functioning recently, Ms. Das said while addressing a program organised to mark the hospital’s third annual day.
As a 14-year-old boy, Samanta scanned the sky and measured the length of the shadows throughout the day using equipment made of bamboo and wood to measure distance, height and time, speakers who attended the event said.
The ceremony was graced by legendary poet, writer, scriptwriter and thinker Javed Akhtar who was presented with the first SOA Sahitya Samman on the occasion.

The hospital, which is equipped with a laboratory,a functional operation theatre and other clinical gadgets, was inaugurated on 28 April 2022.
