Addressing the event, CM Yogi emphasized that economic progress begins with education and it is the government’s duty to ensure students have access to quality learning opportunities.
These initiatives span scholarships, school adoption, STEM and space education, doctoral fellowships, career counselling, and grassroots coaching for competitive exams.
Gandhi condemned the government's priorities, questioning why funds are readily available for foreign trips, publicity, and events, but not for supporting marginalized students.
Students will also be eligible for a COVID-19 Student Relief bursary valued at AUD $2800 that can be coupled with other bursary and scholarship offers valuing up to AUD $10800.
The scholarship scheme is applicable for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses and around Rs 50 lakh worth of scholarships are awarded under the scheme each year in the form of fee waiver.
A spokesperson of Higher Education told on Thursday that the scholarship schemes include Pre-Matric Scholarships for Class IX and X, Post-Matric scholarships for Class XI to Post-graduation, Scholarship for Top Class Education for Graduate/Post Graduate Degree or Diploma for students with disabilities in 241 notified institutions on National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and the Umbrella Scheme "Scholarship for Students with Disabilities".
Opportunities for studying abroad have increased by leaps and bounds for their state-of-the-art infrastructure, good exposure and global recognition of degrees.
Identifying accommodating universities and countries is currently the key to successfully studying and eventually getting placed overseas.
