The Customs officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad have apprehended a man for allegedly attempting to smuggle in gold valued at Rs 1.18 crore by concealing it in his underwear, an official said on Sunday.
On Tuesday, Gold weighing over 1,800 grams, worth over Rs 1 crore, was seized at Hyderabad Airport from three passengers, officials said.
Earlier, Hyderabad Customs seized 12 cut pieces of gold bar and gold chain weighing 807.10 grams worth nearly Rs 50 lakh, officials said on Tuesday.
An IndiGo flight from Ahmedabad suffered minor damage when it encountered a hailstorm during its descent towards Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad.
