The complaint was registered against the outgoing chief minister under the SC/ST Act on Wednesday, the police said.
In a major setback to the BJP and its Chief Minister in office Raghubar Das, most of the assembly segments that went to the polls in the second phase of Jharkhand elections and were seemingly saffron stronghold have been swept by the JMM.
Meanwhile, incumbent CM Raghubar Das, who was leading in Jamshedpur East, has been pushed to the second position by independent candidate Saryu Roy. Das is now trailing by 771 votes.
In the second phase, 48,25,038 voters were covered including 10,492 service voters and 62,565 PwD voters. 260 candidates including 29 female are contesting on 20 seats in this phase.
Asserting that the people would vote for the BJP following the development works and good governance in the last five years, Raghubar Das said the BJP had won 14 assembly constituencies in the Kolhan region in the last polls.
Raghubar Das, the current CM of Jharkhand has been winning the Jamshedpur East seat since 1995. BJP has a stronghold in the area since then.
The tenure of 81-member Jharkhand Legislative Assembly is ending on January 5.
