The CM said that thanks to the efforts of the state government canal water has reached the tail end in villages which has reduced burden on tube wells, thereby considerably saving power and ground water.
State power minister said the import capacity (available transfer capability limit) of Punjab from outside Punjab has been enhanced to 8800 MW which is likely to be enhanced in a day or two to 9000 MW.
AAP said the work is underway to generate 1200 MW of solar power by next year and 2300 MW by 2024.
“The major thrust of my government is on providing jobs to the youth. Till now, 18,543 youth have been given government jobs in the state,” said Bhagwant Mann.
The minister said those disconnected power connections, which are not possible to restore, will be issued again by PSPCL on the request of the applicant.
An official spokesperson said this year PSPCL has also successfully met highest ever peak demand of 14207 Megawatt (MW) on 29 June at 12.15 p.m. by surpassing the previous year record of 13431 MW on 1 July 2021.
