The day began in Haryana's Jind, shifted to Chandigarh by the afternoon and concluded with a high-profile rally in Jalandhar.
He highlighted steps taken to honour iconic regional figures, noting that the Mohali Airport has been named after Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
The launch event came shortly after Prime Minister Modi flagged off the country’s inaugural hydrogen-fueled passenger train from Jind in Haryana.
Referring to infrastructure development, Jayant Chaudhary said Prime Minister Narendra Modi would dedicate five redeveloped railway stations in Punjab, adding that the upgraded facilities are part of the Centre's efforts to modernise public infrastructure in the state.
The Prime Minister highlighted that the upcoming special sitting of Parliament from April 16 would be a step toward implementing the Women's Reservation Bill introduced in the new Parliament building in 2023.
The Chief Minister informed that the application process will begin on April 24, with a defined timeline of 7 days for GIS surveys, 15 days for rectification of application deficiencies, and issuance of conveyance deeds within 45 days.
Reaffirming India’s commitment to closer engagement, the Prime Minister added, “I look forward to working closely together to further deepen our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the progress and prosperity of our people and the region.”
Venugopal said the Prime Minister’s statement accusing the United Democratic Front (UDF) of spreading misinformation about the FCRA for political gain was “deeply problematic” and hurt sentiments. He also termed the timing of the remark, made on a “sacred day”, as unfortunate.
The Prime Minister will begin his visit in Gandhinagar, where he will inaugurate the Samrat Samprati Museum at Koba Tirth on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti and will also address the gathering.
