Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday chaired a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the PM CARES Fund, which was also attended by the newly-nominated trustees -- Ratan Tata, chairman emeritus of Tata Sons; retired Justice K.T. Thomas, former Supreme Court judge; and former deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha Kariya Munda.
The Delhi High Court on Friday granted more time to file a response to petitions seeking to declare the PM CARES Fund a 'State' under the Constitution.

The decision was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the measures needed to improve Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) Supply for COVID management.
The plea also seeks disclosure of its audit report periodically.

She said that she has already written to the Centre to provide funds under their farmers’ scheme so that it can be transferred to the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries.
Friday's meeting of the 22-member PAC chaired by leader of Congress in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury was attended by 17 out of the total 20 members. Its two seats are vacant.
The government also opposed the suggestion that the contributions be transferred to the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF).
