Nationalist Congress Party (NCP)'s senior leader Ajit Pawar on Sunday joined Eknath Shinde-led government in Maharashtra and took oath as the deputy chief minister of the state.
Mehbooba, National Conference chief Dr. Farooq Abdullah, CPM leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami and several other leaders are expected to receive the Congress leader at Lakhanpur which is the gateway to Jammu from Punjab.
I am not talking of India of today but that which was built by Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, said former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
The eviction notice has been sent to the PDP cheif by the Deputy Director (Estates), Kashmir.
Party’s electoral college in Jammu earlier unanimously elected Mehbooba as president of the party. Surinder Chaudhary was the returning officer for the election in Jammu.
“The only common thread connecting these persons appears to be that they are all acquainted with me, my family or my politics in one way or another,” Mufti wrote in the letter. “The questioning of these persons is also focused on myself, my personal, political and financial affairs; my late father’s grave and memorial, my sister’s finances, home construction, my brother’s finances and personal affairs etc.”
Home Minister Shah also targeted the Congress leader who had also signed the Gupkar Declaration in 2019 and asked the Congress party to clarify its position on the issue.
According to NIA these organisations were receiving funds from undisclosed donors which was then being used to fund terror activities. The raids were carried out in Srinagar Bandipora in north Kashmir and Bengaluru.
