Courts sent Manoranjan D, Sagar Sharma, Amol Dhanraj Shinde, Neelam Devi Azad, Lalit Jha, and Mahesh Kumawat to judicial custody as they were produced before the court on expiry of their police custody
Neelam claimed that she was not given the lawyer of her choice to defend her case during the remand proceedings.
The detained individual was reportedly in contact with Manoranjan D.

Lalit Jha, who is purported to be the mastermind in the case, is said to be from Bihar and used to work in Kolkata.

14 Opposition MPs - 13 from Lok Sabha and one from Rajya Sabha, were suspended for showing "disregard to the chair".
While two of the accused had set off smoke canisters in the Lok Sabha, the remaining two protested outside parliament.
Fourteen of the MPs suspended were from the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha member suspended was leader of the Trinamul Congress Derek O’Brien.
