Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra on Wednesday slammed All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi for raising questions about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's endorsement of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the country.
The Hyderabad MP said the AIMIM will participate in the official function only if Om Birla is allowed to inaugurate it.
The AIMIM chief posed five questions to the prime minister after the RBI announced the decision to withdraw the Rs 2000 currency note from circulation.

According to the officer, one of the FIRs was filed under IPC sections 153, 295, and 505. Several leaders were mentioned in this FIR.
Cautioning the Muslim community, he said that Owaisi is trying to mislead the Muslim community,"If Owaisi does not stop the act of breaking the country then he will have to spend time in the jail only," he added.
The Home Minister said the MP was still being requested to accept the security protection and help the Government in meeting its concerns.
