Addressing a press conference, Congress spokesperson and Chairman of the AICC Media and Publicity Department, Pawan Khera, accused the Narendra Modi government of compromising national interests and withholding critical details of the agreement from the public.
"I am confident that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present another transformative Union Budget on February 1," said Sanjay Tandon.
"The Samajwadi Party, BSP, and Congress are casteist and dynastic parties. They cannot serve your welfare. Reject such parties in 2027 and form a BJP government with a landslide victory," he appealed to the people of UP.
Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee president Ajay Rai and senior Maharashtra Congress leader and former state president Nana Patole on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"There is a big doubt, a question mark whether elections were free and fair or being held under the watch of the government."
"It's really good to see opposition parties trying to forge an alliance to fight against us. But first, let them declare their prime ministerial candidate, then they should dream of fighting against us and ousting us," Vijayvargiya said on Sunday.
The constant fall in prices and subsequent lower remuneration in the past few weeks has led to outbursts and protests where farmers have thrown tonnes of onions on roads, while one farmer made national news by sending his meagre returns to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“The Narendra Modi government first said that Lokpal could not be appointed as there was no Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha (who is to be part of the selection process) and later it said there was no eminent jurist in the selection committee,” said Hazare.
It comes against the backdrop of the government's inability to get the bill on the issue passed in the last monsoon session of Parliament.
