Union Minister for Home and Corporation Amit Shah on Saturday sounded the bugle for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, claiming that only BJP can ensure welfare of the state and the people here.
“The Samajwadi Party, BSP, and Congress are casteist and dynastic parties. They cannot serve your welfare. Reject such parties in 2027 and form a BJP government with a landslide victory,” he appealed to the people of UP.

Amit Shah was addressing a function after inaugurating the three-days-long UP Diwas celebrations here at the Prerna Sthal.

He also launched the One District, One Cuisine (ODOC) Scheme to promote the traditional cuisine of each district worldwide.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, “The public made the BJP’s lotus bloom in 2014, 2017, 2019, 2022, and 2024. Elections are due again in Uttar Pradesh in 2027. I have come here to appeal to the people to form a BJP government with a landslide majority for the security and development of the state.”
Listing the achievements of his government, Shah said, “Narendra Modi at the top and Yogi at the bottom. They have done their best to tap into all the possibilities for development within UP. Modi has built a network of national highways across Uttar Pradesh.”
“A grand Maha Kumbh was organized in Prayagraj. Work was done to elevate our Sanatan Dharma to infinite heights. Now, Uttar Pradesh is also progressing with 11% growth in electronics manufacturing,” he added.
He further said, “Data centers and semiconductor factories are being established in Uttar Pradesh. Before 2017, no one could have imagined that semiconductors would even be manufactured in UP. Law and order in Uttar Pradesh has seen historic improvements. Robberies have decreased by 82 per cent.”
As a result of this, the Union home minister said roday, UP boasts of the largest number of airports. There’s a defence corridor where the BrahMos missile is being manufactured. Yogi has eradicated corruption within the state, has tightened the law and order system and has implemented numerous schemes for the welfare of the poor.”
Amit Shah, while congratulating the people of state on the occasion of UP Foundation Day, stated that today is the day to resolve that by 2047, UP will become a developed state and give a new direction to the country.
He extended his best wishes to every resident of Uttar Pradesh, both in India and abroad.
Shah pointed out that Uttar Pradesh is the sacred land where Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Baba Vishwanath, and many other epoch-making figures were born. He expressed his happiness after visiting the National Inspiration Site and thanked Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for it. The Rashtriya Prerna Sthal will become a center of national consciousness and awakening. This park, built in memory of Syama Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, will inspire future generations.
He informed that a grand and inspiring site has been created at a place where there was once a 65-acre garbage dump.
He further said that the ‘One District One Product’ Scheme was included in the BJP’s manifesto in 2017, and it has now been implemented across the country. A fair of delicacies from all the districts of the state is being held here, and Uttar Pradesh’s cuisine has made its mark worldwide.
He claimed that Uttar Pradesh has played a crucial role in making the country safe and strong in every era.
