In a landmark push for next-generation urban mobility, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated and dedicated development projects worth approximately ₹12,930 crore in Meerut, significantly strengthening connectivity and infrastructure across western Uttar Pradesh and the National Capital Region (NCR).

Namo Bharat Train services are being extended on November 3 on the occasion of Bhai Dooj celebrations, a spokesperson of the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) said here on Saturday.
These facilities will be available at commercial spaces within the premises of RRTS stations near the entry and exit areas, enhancing passenger convenience," a spokesperson of the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) said on Monday.
The NCRTC is dedicated not only to ensuring the punctuality of Namo Bharat trains for passengers but also to upholding cleanliness standards at all stations.
The foundation stone for India's inaugural RRTS corridor, linking Delhi to Meerut, was laid by the prime minister in March 2019.
The NaMo Bharat train is Indigenously manufactured with a designed speed potential of 180 kmph and operational speed potential of 160 kmph.
