May 13, 2017Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector as an opportunity for Odisha, Union Minister Kalraj Mishra on April 4 said the Centre will take steps to eradicate unemployment from the state by promoting small scale units and start ups.
“MSME sector has become a challenge as well as opportunity for Odisha. We will be working towards eradicating unemployment and creating Odisha a manufacturing hub,” the Union MSME minister said.
“This can only happen by promoting small scale industries and start up is the new buzz word for Odisha to focus on promoting new ideas,” Mishra said while addressing a session on four-day mega conclave and expo organised by Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI).
Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, who was present on the occasion, said, “Odisha should come up with some policy where we can promote and set up MSME industries and factories in tribal areas.”
