Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Wednesday described the Union government's decision to conduct caste enumeration in the upcoming census as “historic,” while criticizing the Congress for politicizing the issue.
The CM also said that the state government would honour Manohar Singh posthumously for his bravery.

The Chief Minister explained that the English name was a colonial legacy, and renaming the schools as Sandipani Vidyalaya would introduce an Indian perspective into the education system.
Launching the statewide ‘School Chalen Hum’ campaign from Bhopal on Tuesday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav announced that from now on, all the ‘CM RISE’ Government Schools across the state would be known as ‘Sandipani Vidyalaya’.
During the function, the CM announced that the university would henceforth be known as Samrat Vikramaditya University.
