Leader of the Opposition, Umang Singhar, raised the issue during Question Hour in the ongoing Budget Session.
Opposition MLAs also staged a protest outside the House, displaying empty steel plates as a symbol of the state government’s directionless budget, its empty coffers, and the rising debt on the people of the state.
In his address, Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel highlighted the achievements of the Dr Mohan Yadav-led Bharatiya Janata Party state government and outlined its future plans to make the state developed.
The protest was held during the single-day special session of the Assembly convened on the occasion of completion of 70 years of the Legislative Assembly’s first session.
Dr Yadav visited Dubai and Spain from 13 to 19 July to attract investment for Madhya Pradesh. He is expected to arrive in Bhopal later this evening.
Umang Singhar is counted as one of the prominent politicians in Madhya Pradesh. He is the Leader of Opposition in Madhya Pradesh Assembly and an influential tribal leader. He currently represents the Gandhwani Assembly constituency.
LoP Umar Singhar claimed that the diary contains crucial evidence that could expose many high-profile persons involved in the scam and that is why the state government is not disclosing its details.
The Congress MLAs also held placards in their hands that had names of State Transport Department former Constable Saurabh Sharma and former Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput.
Sixty percent of the cost will be borne by the Government of India and 40 percent by the state government.
