Paddy is being procured from farmers registered on the “Meri Fasal Mera Byora” portal. So far, paddy has been procured from 63,356 farmers registered on the portal in the state.
During the Kharif procurement season-2025, a total of 2,79,502.86 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured from Haryana’s mandis. Out of this, 48,838.72 metric tonnes have already been lifted from the mandis/procurement centres.
The area under kharif crop sowing has increased to 137.84 lakh hectares so far this year, compared to 124.88 lakh hectares during the same period last year, according to official data released on Monday.
Under the Kharif procurement season 2024-25, paddy procurement in Uttar Pradesh has surged, with 2.86 lakh metric tons procured so far—an increase of 65,820 metric tons compared to the same period in 2023-24.

The increase in MSP for Kharif Crops is in line with the Union Budget 2018-19 announcement of fixing the MSP at a level of at least 50 per cent over the All-India weighted average Cost of Production, aiming at reasonably fair remuneration for the farmers.
Similarly, the pulses would cover 21.05 lakh hectares while 13.78 and 17.89 lakh hectares would be brought under oilseeds and Nutri-cereals, respectively.
"A record foodgrain production is estimated at 150.50 million tonne in kharif season,Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said.
Further, sanction for procurement of 1.23 LMT of Copra (the perennial crop) for the States of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala was also given.
He also told that by the end of this month, an additional 36,000 tonne of imported onion is expected to arrive in India which will help ease pressure on prices.
