Kerala Tourism is initiating ‘Travel Now, Post Later’, a global movement that promotes mindful travel and urges travellers everywhere to experience the moment first with their own eyes and mind, before sharing it online.
Kerala Tourism Minister P. A. Mohamed Riyas will inaugurate the exhibition at the Travancore Palace Art Gallery, New Delhi, at 4.30 pm on January 20.
“As a global brand, Kerala Tourism has made a paradigm shift by firmly positioning it as an inclusive, experiential and regenerative destination that offers diverse choices to visitors in the length and breadth of the state,” he said.
As the summer holiday season is fast approaching, we will be unfolding new products before the domestic visitors by targeting school holidays and family audiences, said Kerala tourism minister PA Mohamed Riyas.
The 12th edition of the four-day Kerala Travel Mart 2024 kicked off in grand style in Kochi, with the inaugural ceremony held at Le Meridien in the suburban area of Kundannoor. Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan honoured recently retired chief secretary Venu V during the inaugural ceremony of Kerala Travel Mart 2024 in Kochi on 26 September. The event was attended by MLAs K.J. Maxi and K. Babu; MP Hibi Eden; KTM president Jose Pradeep; tourism minister P.A. Mohammed Riyas; finance minister K.N. Balagopal; tourism secretary K. Biju; mayor Anilkumar M, and Ernakulam district collector N.S.K. Umesh.
Kerala's total direct earnings from the sector in the last calendar year touched Rs 26,000 crore, up from Rs 23,098 crore, a growth of 12.56 per cent.
The Kochi and Ernakulum regions, which have been under the waters for almost two weeks, alone accounts for around 52 per cent of all tourism in the state.
