"The Congress is always on the side of defence reform in the country but the NDA government is mowing the dreams of patriots who want to serve the country," he added.
The Congress exhorted people to express themselves, without being lured by doles, in the ensuing panchayat and urban elections in the state.
After joining Congress, the former CPI leader said, "I want to join the most democratic party in this country. The Congress party holds the history of this country in itself."
