It is very important for India that all the players are fit and especially when it comes to the fitness of the Indian skipper who suffered a thumb injury in the ODI match against Bangladesh.
Notably, the ODI World Cup is all set to take place in October and November in India. The BCCI is all geared up to prepare a potential squad ahead of the World Cup. Workload management of the players and injuries are some of the concerns for the team management.
Notably, the star Indian all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, is all set to lead team India in a 3-match t20i home series against Sri Lanka in the absence of Rohit Sharma. Later in the ODI series, he will also be there with the Indian squad as the deputy.

Recently, Bucknor, in an interview with Mid-Day admitted his mistakes but Pathan is still not pleased.
Pathan's comment comes after Stokes played a pivotal role in England's win over West Indies in the second test of the ongoing three-match Test series.
Ben Stokes' performance helped England set a challenging target which they defended successfully by bowling out the West Indies for 198.
"Your body gets stiff, injury management will be key as well because I think for any fast-bowler to get back into the rhythm, it takes at least 4-6 weeks."
The insult was however not in reply to any political comment made by Pathan but to an unrelated topic of him speaking about how he was converted from a pure fast bowler to an all-rounder.
