The Indian Navy has commissioned INAS 335, known as ‘The Ospreys,’ at INS Hansa in Goa, inducting MH-60R multi-role helicopters. The new squadron will enhance maritime surveillance, anti-submarine warfare, strike capability and search-and-rescue operations, strengthening India’s naval aviation and maritime security.
Elaborating on the details, the naval spokesperson said that at La Réunion, Tir and Sarathi were received by the French Navy ship FS Nivose, with a Passage Exercise (PASSEX) marking the welcome.
Apart from the USA, Egypt, and India, forces from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Greece, Cyprus, and Italy are also expected to participate in the exercise
INS-Imphal concluded its visit to Mauritius and departed Port Louis after actively participating in the 57th Mauritius National Day celebrations.
