Indian national Himanshi Khurana was found murdered in Toronto, prompting a Canada-wide arrest warrant as Indian diplomatic missions extended support to her family.
According to the police, the arrested Bangladeshi national has been identified as 28-year-old Mamun Hasan, who was residing in Dehradun for almost five years while evading detection by the administration and law enforcement agencies.
Sources also claimed that Indian Intelligence agencies have possibly started to ascertain the probability of a connection, if any, between Anju’s travel to Pakistan and its link to some information about the BSF.
While the woman arrived with a visa, government authorities have opened an investigation into the matter, the report added.
