According to an ICE report, the US deported 611 Indian nationals in 2018, which rose over two-and-a-half times to 1,616 in 2019.
Under the changes, the 22 million non-citizen residents of the United States using food stamps, public healthcare, and other welfare will not be able to obtain green cards or US citizenship.
Trump, however, did not provide further details on the immigrants who would be affected by the mass removal.
