Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan directed the constitution of a high-level expert committee under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research to examine the challenges faced by Totapuri mango growers in Andhra Pradesh and recommend appropriate measures for the long-term development of the sector.
Awareness on government welfare schemes, sustainable farming practices and technological interventions in agriculture and aquaculture took centre stage at the PM-KISAN Utsav Diwas organised jointly by the ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (ICAR-CIFA), Kausalyaganga, and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Khordha, on Sunday.
