Earlier on Thursday, the deep depression intensified into a cyclone and has been christened ‘Dithwa’, as suggested by Yemen and it refers to the Detwah lagoon on Socotra island, known for its distinct coastal ecosystem.

Radhye Shyam Sharma, the Met Director in Jaipur, said heavy rains are likely to continue in Ajmer and Jodhpur in the next 24 hours with lightning, and the present trend would probably change by the weekend.
