The two-day event aims to empower artisans, promote India’s craft economy, and strengthen the handloom and handicraft sectors through knowledge sharing, innovation, market linkages, and collaboration among states.
Emphasising the cultural, economic and national significance of India’s handloom tradition, Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar on Thursday said the sector is not merely about textiles, but a reflection of civilizational continuity and self-reliance.
Her appeal came during Vastra Katha 2025, an event organised to mark National Handloom Day at the Ashoka Hotel in New Delhi.
The Three-day Teej Mahotsav, to be held here at Dilli Haat, Pitampura from July 25 to 27, 2025, will host a blend of cultural and recreational activities, bringing the families together on the festive occasion.
