Talking to reporters after the meeting, GTA chairman Anit Thapa said it was an administrative review meeting on the present Covid situation in the GTA area, mainly in the Kurseong region, which has seen a spike in the number of cases, of late.
Mr Thapa maintained that 800+ cars were provided from the DM office, 300+ cars by the GTA, along with three buses to transport more than 10,000 people to the GTA region.
Two from Sonada and two from Kurseong had recent travel history; their samples were collected on 18 May in Kurseong Sub-Divisional Hospital.
Mr Thapa also said that they would limit the time in the evenings to allow migrants to enter through the GTA check points.
