“It is Rahul Gandhi’s policy to lie, lie aloud repeatedly. He has started a new tradition of telling lies every day. But the people have identified him as a lie-manufacturing factory,” Shah fumed while addressing a rally in Karaikal in the poll-bound Union Territory of Puducherry.
Making her first official visit after assuming office, Amarasuriya, who had her graduation in New Delhi’s Hindu College, is on a three-day state visit to India from October 16 to 18.
Shah further noted that the fishing community has suffered the most since their villages were washed away by the sea, due to which thousands of families had to migrate in search of employment.
"The Government of India attaches high priority to the issue of Indian fishermen and civilian prisoners in Pakistan’s custody and has urged the Government of Pakistan to expedite the release and repatriation of all Indian prisoners, including fishermen who remain in Pakistan’s custody," the MEA said in a statement.
The warning is due to a low-pressure system moving west-northwestward this evening and is likely to turn into a cyclonic storm.
The fishermen have been sensitised on the restrictions imposed on human activities in the marine sanctuary, said Manas Das, Gahirmatha Forest Range officer.
The Sri Lankan Navy apprehended 15 of the fishermen and their 2 boats who went to sea from Rameswaram on November 5th.
The ICG ship Varad formally handed over all 32 rescued Bangladeshi fishermen safely to the BCG ship ‘Tajuddin (PL-72)’ at Indo- Bangla International Maritime Boundary Line.
The fishermen were arrested on July 20 for crossing the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) into Sri Lankan waters.
