The coordinated crackdown led to the arrest of 94 drug smugglers from across the state and the registration of 73 First Information Reports (FIRs). With this, the total number of drug smugglers arrested has reached 33,950 since the launch of the campaign.
These raids, conducted as part of the drive’s 225th consecutive day, led to the arrest of 56 drug smugglers and the registration of 40 First Information Reports (FIRs).
The arrested accused has been identified as Yasin Mohammed (22), a resident of village Atwa in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh (UP), presently residing at Village Lalru in Mohali.
Continuing its anti-drug campaign, “Yudh Nashian De Virudh”, launched by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate the drug menace from the state, the Punjab Police conducted raids at 347 locations on Tuesday.
With this, the number of drug smugglers arrested reached 6,284 in just 47 days.
