The BJP candidate of the Bardhaman-Durgapur Lok Sabha constituency, Dilip Ghosh garlanded the wrong statue on Sunday, sparking a fresh controversy.
Dilip Ghosh made another personal attack on Trinamul Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee during his campaign in Galsi in East Burdwan this afternoon saying: "Ask her when would she remove the sticker on her forehead, before or after the polls are over?"
The delegation included party MP Mala Roy, state ministers Chandrima Bhattacharya, Dr Shashi Panja, Bratya Basu, Nadimul Haque, party’s MP Kunal Ghosh, Vasundhara Goswami among others.
An apolitical rights’ body in the city has taken up the ‘trouble’ to ask the political parties to observe propriety while campaigning.
“Miss Banerjee must explain what are the contributions of her state government in past 10 years’ time for flood control management. Even the city and its outskirts are now submerged following a little downpour. It indicates the drainage and sewerage systems have totally collapsed,"

Mamata Banerjee observes July 21 as Martyrs' Day every year to remember the 13 persons who were killed at a Youth Congress rally in Kolkata in 1993. Eyeing the party's expansion, the TMC has decided to telecast Banerjee's address across West Bengal, and for the first time, also in other states like Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Punjab, Tripura and poll-bound Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh.
The West Bengal BJP state leadership is facing huge embarrassment following several party leaders making harsh remarks against the party's state president Dilip Ghosh and Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari.
He also today criticised Trinamul Congress for alleged ‘poaching’ of their MLA.
