The Congress Working Committee (CWC) is slated to meet on Tuesday to discuss the party's manifesto for the Lok Sabha polls that are scheduled to be held in seven phases beginning from April 19.
The meeting was convened by party president Mallikarjun Kharge at the party headquarters here, in presence of Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) chairperson Sonia Gandhi and former president Rahul Gandhi, after four hours of deliberations.

“He (Hardik Pandya) will not be taking the flight to Dharamsala with the team on October 20 and will now join the team directly in Lucknow where India play England,” the BCCI confirmed on Friday.
It's likely that Sidhu will put forth the list of demands in the Punjab government as he is upset with the appointments in the government. He has resigned from the post of state president, but it has not been accepted yet by Sonia Gandhi. The meeting gains significance as it comes ahead of the CWC meeting.
Apart from Azad, Motilal Vora, Ambika Soni and Mallikarjun Kharge have also been removed as general secretaries of the All India Congress Committee (AICC).
“The intention is to make Congress active and strong. But those who simply got ‘appointment cards’ continue to oppose our proposal. What’s the harm in having elected CWC members who will have stable tenures in the party,” he said. Defending the demand for organisational elections in the letter, he said an appointed president right now “may not even have one per cent support”.
'The District Congress Committee (DCC) demands that disciplinary action should be taken against all those who signed the letter and they should be expelled from the party,' said the resolution passed by Lakhimpur Kheri district Congress committee.
