The Congress party on Monday mounted a fresh attack on the Narendra Modi-led government over its handling of the education sector, alleging a deepening crisis in India’s examination and higher education system and reiterating its demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, Ramesh claimed that the alleged leak represented a serious lapse in data security and accused the government of failing to safeguard sensitive student information.
This comes amid major controversy that has raised questions over student evaluation, putting into spotlight the company behind the platform.
Senior Examination Director of NTA, Sadhana Parashar, said in a notice, "Keeping in mind that the dates of JEE Main and Class 12 board exams do not clash with each other, applications will be accepted from students from May 3. Its last date is May 12. The students will have to provide their Class 12th roll number and name of the board to the NTA while filling the form."
Announcing the date sheets, the Minister informed that sufficient days have been given between the exams of two main subjects.
“The Classes 10 and 12 CBSE board exams 2021 will not be held in January and February. The exact exam schedule will be decided after February 2021,” said Pokhriyal.
As part of the central government initiative to conduct examinations on time amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has planned a three-way dialogue with the students, parents and teachers across the country.
As per the tentative dates, the practical exams for Class 12 would be conducted from January 1 till February 8 while the exact dates for the exams would be notified later, CBSE clarified.
