The Trinamul Congress has lodged a complaint against the CBI with the Election Commission of India (ECI).

The CBI has made Sisodia as accused number one in its FIR which has been lodged under sections 120B (Criminal Conspiracy) and 477A (Falsification of accounts) of the IPC.

Former East Delhi MP Sandeep Dikshit alleged that the AAP and BJP were hand in glove to damage the Congress, "but it seems that the BJP does not require AAP now so the raids are being conducted".
“The raids are being conducted in seven states of the country in connection with the alleged irregularities in formulation and execution of the Delhi Excise Policy brought in November 2021,” stated the source.
The CBI had registered a case on 13 April 2022 in compliance with the orders of the High Court of Rajasthan and took over the investigation into the case earlier registered at Police Station Todabhim, Karauli (Rajasthan).
