Taking a tough stand on corruption in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday suspended a senior IAS officer and Invest UP CEO Abhishek Prakash.
It was also alleged that the accused negotiated with the complainant and agreed to accept a partial bribe of Rs 20,000 as the first instalment.
The accused were arrested for seeking Rs 15,000 as bride for not cancelling the Goods and Services Tax (GST) number allotted to a firm.
In an ultimatum to the former CM, the Punjab chief minister asked his predecessor to confirm it with his family members, or he (Mann) will proves the allegation by bringing the complainant forward.
