Pakistan’s Bilawal Bhutto has urged citizens to unite against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, warning of war if New Delhi continues to keep the Indus Water Treaty suspended amid escalating India-Pakistan tensions.
Angered over the suspension of the 1960 Indus waters Treaty by India following the Pahalgam terror attack, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chief Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has threatened India, stating that "either our water or their blood will flow through it".
Major disagreements between the nations were raised in press conferences and media interactions. The event was held in the backdrop of the terrorist encounter in Rajouri in which five Indian soldiers lost their lives.
Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said Bilawal would attend the meeting at the invitation of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.
The Foreign Minister called Khan's decisions a "complete mockery of the judicial system in Pakistan, of rule of law, of the Constitution in Pakistan
"There are differences that, of course, need to be addressed between India and Pakistan" and "the US stands ready to assist as a partner to both US State Department spokesman Ned Price said.
BJP said the remarks were given to divert global attention from Pakistan's collapsing economy, lawlessness and anarchy in Pakistan.
Pakistan foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Thursday that his country opposes United Nations (UN) reforms that expand the Security Council to bring India to the UN high table.
The Minister made the remarks at a meeting of the OIC Contact Group on Muslims in Europe held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, reports The Express Tribune.
Bilawal was present at the time when the initial federal cabinet members took oath, however, he did not take the oath, Geo News reportedd.
