Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s ongoing Pragati Yatra was disrupted on Monday as a group of students protesting over alleged paper leak and irregularities in the 70th Combined Competitive Exams (Preliminary) conducted by the BPSC tried to stop his cavalcade in Samastipur.
Kumar said, "What was the need for a new Parliament? I have repeatedly said that people in power will change the history of this country."
The ordinance came after the apex court gave the Delhi government control in services matters, including transfer and posting of officers.
The move aims at garnering support against the Centre's ordinance.
Earlier yesterday, Nitish Kumar met with his Jharkhand counterpart Hemant Soren in Ranchi.
The Bihar CM will next meet his Jharkhand counterpart Hemant Soren in Ranchi before flying to Mumbai to meet Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar. His tour is said to be politically significant.
