Total motorcycle sales were at 3,38,584 units last month as against 284,802 units in December 2019, up 19 per cent.
The proposed investment further reinforces the commitment of Bajaj Auto to the State of Maharashtra where the journey began.
Domestic sales stood at 281,160 units last month, as against 278,776 units in October last year, up 1 per cent, it added.
Indigo was up by 8.53 per cent and Spice Jet rose 4.88 per cent.

During the trading session, S&P BSE Sensex index rose as much as 309 points to hit 39,361.06.
The Sensex rose as 178.74 or 178.74 per cent to touch 39,230.80 at 1216 hours. Similarly, NSE Nifty moved 46.60 or 0.40% to reach 11,632.95.
Sensex rose around 103.9 points to 38,702.89 and the NSE Nifty rose 16.9 points to 11,480.90 in the early minutes of the trading.
